Amazing book by an amazing author

Postpartum depression... not something most of us think about unless you are suffering from it or love someone who is. This book is an absolute must read if you are looking for some personal understanding of postpartum depression. Sylvia gives a very forthright and personal description of her battle which makes you feel as though you are walking in her shoes. When you are done reading this very informative and entertaining book (trust me, you will not be able to put it down) you will have the knowledge and insight to be able to either help someone suffering or find help for yourself.

Compassion and Connection

Sylvia Lasalandra has done a remarkable job describing the indescribable. She knows exactly what to say and how to say it so women can connect with her experience and ultimately, believe that there is light at the end of the darkness. Her dedication to the field is tireless and impressive. Thank you Sylvia, for all your hard work, your inspiring book and especially for your commitment to women who suffer from PPD and who seek comfort from you and your experience so they, too, can believe in themselves again.

A story of consequences and hope

While it is important for the public to understand the signs, symptoms and risk factors of pregnancy related mood disorders, nothing sends a more compelling message, or inspires sufferers to reach out for help and know they are not alone than a true story of courage, bravery and survival. Sylvia Lasalandra's story powerfully illustrates the suffering, stigma and lack of resources available to women struggling with these illnesses. Thankfully, the tide is finally changing, and Sylvia's unrelenting advocacy is one major reason. You will read this book in one sitting as you will not be able to put it down. Thanks, Sylvia, for joining the fight in such a courageous manner!
