About the Author
Ann Fields, MSE, CADC III, CGAC II, is a consultant/trainer and addictions counselor specializing in behavior change. She is also a registered MINT Trainer, trained by William Miller as a selected participant in the in the original “Training for Trainers” in Albuquerque New Mexico in 1993. Ms. Fields provides training and consultation to professional practitioners in arenas such as mental health, medical social work, vocational rehabilitation, substance abuse, gambling addictions, child welfare, juvenile justice, corrections, family violence, and family preservation services. Since 1998 Ms. Fields has been a guest lecturer in motivational interviewing for the School of Social Work at Portland State University. She is the author / trainer of one of the first motivational interviewing group models: Curriculum-Based Motivation Group, written, published and copyrighted in 2004 and translated into Spanish in 2008.
