About the Author
Born in India, Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad has made California her home since 1976. In an effort to solve her personal health problems suffered since childhood, and to help others with similar problems, she conducted research in the U.S. over the past eighteen years resulting in the development of a new and effective approach, known as Nambudripad's Allergy Ellimination Technique (NAET), for diagnosis and treatment of allergies of all types.

I didn't read this book, so take it for what it is...

I am really writing about my experience with NAET and Bioset, something similar. I have chemical sensitivities and I tried both with NO success, only a big empty hole in my bank account. I was told I had to clear all these other things before getting to the perfume, when the treatment didn't work I was told I had to go back and clear some of the stuff that had already been cleared. In a nutshell, I spent a small fortune and am still allergic to all the stuff I was supposedly cleared for. This does work for some and we are not all the same, but my advice is to try EFT and TAT, both of which offer their basic protocols for FREE and work through it yourself.
You may get info about NAET in this book but you can not do the protocol by yourself, so if you want to try it read about it on the net and save a nickel...you'll need it if you want to try it.
Stay away from anyone or anything that wants your wallet before helping you. Everyone has a right to make a living, and recoup their expenses getting info out there, but those who carefully guard their "secrets" and want to sell you an e-book or seminar or something without offering you ANY substantial help or demonstration of efficacy, I would avoid. We can all be quite desperate at times with this thing. Like many of us I have done lots of things, lots and lots of things. Keep your wallet in your purse, until you know something works. I truly believe that anyone who has suffered with this or understands its impact on someone's life would not withhold the cure for ANY reason. I personally would actually be willing to spend my own money to get it out there, but that's me.
Gary Craig and Tapas Flemming I think still make plenty of money on their dvd's and seminars and certifications while giving people their system for free. I have purchased DVDs from both Tapas and Gary after receiving much needed free help. I admire and thank them and they have set the standards for what I look for in a healing system and the integrity of it's creator/promoter.

NAET works w/ a Trained Practioner

The information in the book is helpful by way of telling you there is way to LESSEN Chemical Allergies, if not to be a complete cure for some people. Everyone's genetic make-up is different so that is why results vary. Chemical Allergies are complicated, it requires time & patience to work through the different layers to help the body heal. The price for NAET treatments varies across the country. This is not a do-it-yourself treatment, but the book can give you insight to understanding the healing process. This is also the only treatment (so far) that helps to add things back into your life, rather than take them out and avoid them.

Spent $6,500+ on treatment from Author & not better!

I first bought this book to try to "cure" my allergies myself thinking that this book would teach me how. However, this book just talks about how people magically were cured from NAET. This book is basically a marketing brochure to get you to visit one of their NAET offices. And you know what? I did visit one of their offices. In fact, I went to see the author herself to be treated by her personally. Yes, I saw the author herself, AKA the inventor of this "magical allergy cure".
When you get to the office they tell you that it is required that you read one of the NAET books, which means you have to buy one of her books. When you have a consultation they tell you that they can cure pretty much anything. Yes, ANYTHING. Here are a few things that they claim they can cure:
1) Allergies
2) Asthma
3) ADHD
4) Autism
5) Back Pain
6) Headaches
7) Cancer - YES, CANCER!
8) AIDS - YES, AIDS!
9) Cold sores
Here are some other ones they say they can cure:
- Loneliness
- Greed
- Guilt
- Addiction
- Lack of confidence
They claim that everything is caused by allergies. Autism = mercury allergy. Psoriasis/Eczema = several allergies. AIDS = virus allergy. Cancer = radiation allergy. Here are a list of the allergies that people are ACTUALLY being treated for:
- the color blue
- heat/cold
- wind
- people (family members)
- TV/computer screen
- light/darkness
- water
Yes, these are what they claim are allergies. And I have been treated for them by Devi Nambudripad herself.
Now let me get to the cost of treatment. The initial consultation is $175 and each allergy cost $55-75 per allergy (FYI, she charges $75 for most people but charges $55 if you ask about any discounts....a[...] isn't that nice) So if you are treated for an egg allergy that's $75. I was told I needed to be treated for 80 allergies. I ended up getting treated for 100 allergies because they kept saying I needed more and more.
So I ended up spending more than $6,500 on allergy treatments, blood tests, books, and "special" vitamins that they sell. This was over the span of 2 years and this does not even include the cost of my gas and my time.
SO HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
Well if you thought what you just read was bad, wait until you read how the treatment works.
Step 1: They hand you a small vile with a clear liquid in it that reads "feathers" for example. They don't even hand you a real feather. Then you lie down on a table and see if you are "allergic" to the allergy by doing what they call a "muscle test". You basically lie on your back and she tries to push your arm down. If it goes down then you are allergic. If she can't push your arm down then you are not allergic to it.

Step 2: Once she decides you are allergic to it, you lie face down and she puts this electric gun thing on your back.
Step 3: You are then told to lie in a room, where they insert 6-8 needles in your hands, elbows, and feet. You then lie there for 20 minutes still holding the vile of clear liquid.
Step 4: (this is the hardest step) She then removes the needles from your body and tells you to avoid the "allergy" for 24 hours! Yes, 24 hours meaning you cannot EAT or TOUCH anything with that allergen. So for example, if you were treated for "Animal Fat" that means you cannot eat any meats for that whole day. I swear, there have been times where the only food I was allowed to eat was fries and water. There has been about 20 times that has happened. And if you do EAT or TOUCH the allergen withing 24 hours, then you will FAIL the treatment and will have to pay AGAIN to have it retreated.
So as you can see the vast amount of time, effort and money that a person must invest into this NEAT treatment. And even if it did work, it's still not easy to do. I have not improved at all, I am $6,500+ poorer and lost a lot of time.
Any people who say they have improved have merely just experience the PLACEBO EFFECT. If you would really like help with your allergies or any other illness you should purchase Healing Back Pain by: Dr. Sarno or any other of his books. He talks about a natural way to heal your back pain along with your allergies. And it does not require any additional cost or treatments.
- IMPORTANT -
NAET is a total waste of time an money and these people need to be stopped. I encourage all people who have been treated by NAET to charge them with a lawsuit. These people must be SUED for practicing quackery and delivering no results. You can go to Yelp (dot) com and search for "Medical Malpractice Lawyer" in your area. You can Google "Medical Malpractice Lawyer" too. Find a highly rated lawyer to fight for you. Many lawyers don't charge you any money unless they WIN the case. This means they get paid on a percentage of what you win from the lawsuit. And they do all the work so you have nothing to worry about and nothing to lose.
