RONIN POETZ is a set of interconnecting poems telling one story. Teferu Azr tells his story with the finesse of a griot, all the while, giving readers the feel of watching a play. He tells of a band of outcasts, he calls poetic rebels, that bring his story to life. Even though this is poetry, Azr uses the same ingredients of fiction writers: heroes, villains, love, betrayals and battles.
THE RONIN POETZ, 'they who serve no master', is staged in a post-apocalyptic era and showcases a band of African Griots who believe they are to preserve their culture and rekindle a dying world with their words. Led by Zodiac Gods, Father Aquarius and Mother Pisces, these poetic rebels take readers on an adventurous journey. The battle sequences and the exposure to love and friendship are told through the poetry of Father Aquarius and Mother Pisces. Ultimately, this is the story of an epic battle for justice, dignity, and freedom against a nefarious King, a villainous assassin, an army of Police, and a traitorous Shogun.
