Terrific Book!

As a seventh grade science teacher, I treasure this book. It's filled with "More Than 100 Wacky Experiments" that are simple to conduct with household materials or inexpensive items easily available at the grocery store, drug store, or hardware store.

I love the "Flying Ping-Pong Ball" to demonstrate Bernoulli's Principle, "Plunger Power," which shows the amazing strength of a vacuum seal, and the "Exploding Rubber Egg," to illustrate osmosis. I tested several of these experiments with my own kids, and they were wowed by "Green Slime," the "Homemade UFO," and the "Lava Lamp."

The book also explains in simple terms why each experiment works and provides a miscellany of strange facts pertaining to each experiment. The hands-on experiments excite kids and spur them to ask questions, sending them on the path to discovery.

A science teacher's dream! :)

Science Experiments with a Great Wow Factor

I'm always on the lookout for engaging science experiments for my eighth grade science class, and this book contains an amazing slew of them. My kids LOVED the Underwater Candle, which gives the convincing illusion that a burning candle is sitting inside a glass of water. And thankfully the explanations on why the experiments work are short and sweet. I can't wait to do the Flaming Creamer experiment, which will definitely wake up my students. Fortunately, the directions are easy to follow and the photos make everything crystal clear. With more than one hundred experiments in the book, I've got two to three experiments to show the kids each week, which is sure to make this an exciting school year for my students (and me, too!) To be honest, I just get a big kick out of all the fun facts in the book. If only science class had been this much fun when we were kids!

As we've come to expect, this issue of Ceramics in America is a masterpiece, both in design, presentation, and content. This is truly the most important series out there on American ceramics. The combination of archaeological and historical information sets the standard for future researchers.

THIS WAS ACTUALLY A GOOD READ THE POUND WAS A HOT HOT MESS AND CAMILLE WAS A HOT MESS AS WELL SHE GOT ON MY NERVERS ACTING CLINGY AND CHILDISH..YET POUND FAMILY IS LEGENDARY IN THE STREETS WITH REAL DRAMA MOSTLY ON TR POUNDS END....THE WEIRD PART IS TRE POUND HAS ROAD SIDE SEX WITH HIS LITTLE COUSIN CAMILLE ugh....drama MESSY and I can't wait to get part two....

not to bad.

The book does deliver what it says. It has 30 questions to cover the 9 knowledge areas as well as foundation and professional and social responsibility. The questions are interesting and get your brain going. They are in line with the course materials and the PMBOK.

On the area of improvement: It has a number of errors including wrong answers in the answers sheet as well as a number of spelling mistakes.

Its definitely not a bad book to support your pmp preparation.

I used this book to support a PMP exam preparation course and it fitted in well. The price is reasonable, however i feel it is the max you could ask for this book.

Pretty good

This book does a really good job in explaining PM concepts. It really helped me in reinforcing what I learned from reading the PMBOK and augmented that knowledge with other key PM concepts. The questions are OK, not enough situation-type questions though which apparently make up the majority of the PMP exam. It has a fair amount of typos and mistakes, but overall it was done professionally. One thing that initially confused me was the way he teaches the forward and backward pass calculations. In every other study guide I've used, they say that Duration = EF-ES = LF-LS, however he states that Duration = EF-ES+1 = LF-LS+1. Otherwise, this is a pretty good product.
